The pure product is white crystal, m.p.32 C, b.p.130 C/4 102 Pa, 112-113 C/1.33 Pa, relative density 1.050 (20 C), vapor pressure 0.533 PA (25 C), refractive index n27D1.5115. Soluble in benzene, toluene, xylene, methanol, acetone and other organic solvents, solubility in water is 660mg/L. It is stable in weak acidic medium, unstable to alkali and easily decomposed by heat. The industrial product is light yellow oily liquid, m.p.28.5 ~ 31 degrees Celsius.
Carbamate insecticides have strong contact toxicity, and have the functions of stomach poison, fumigation and killing eggs. Quick effect, but less effective period. Mainly control rice planthopper, rice leafhopper and rice thrips, spray with 50% EC 1000-2000 times liquid, or spray with 2% Basha powder 300-375g/100m2. It also has good control effect on rice leaf roller, stink bug, rice stem borer and aphid.
Carbamate insecticides are effective in killing rice planthoppers, black-tailed leafhoppers and rice bug horns with short duration, and can also control cotton aphids and cotton bollworm.

The mutagenic effection is negative in testing condition.

1.Don't mix it with alkaline pesticides

1).BPMC/Fenobucarb, is a most popular pesticide for plant hopper in worldwide.
It is extensively used for control of plant hopper in rice.
2).BPMC is a low mammalian toxic carbamate with a good action against leafhoppers and planthoppers major pests of rice. It acts as a contact poison. It has a relatively fast killing action and a moderately long residual action. But it is none phytotoxic to rice and harmless to beneficial predatory and pollination insects.
3).BPMC can kill the insects in winter with its strong contact poisoning and quick effects, especially to blacktail rice leafhoppers which are resistant to organic phosphorus insecticides. It can prevent the cotton leafhoppers, paddy (stem) borers and big borers, and has certain effects to insects of fruit trees, vegetables and tea. It can also be made into mosquito incense and spraying agent.

This insecticide is used worldwide for controlling plant hopper in rice and cotton crop.
It falls in the category of carbamate insecticide. The most salient features of this chemical is
that it is either pale yellow or pale red in color and is in liquid form but insoluble in water.
