Features
Bromoxynil octanoyl is a broad-spectrum, selective contact-killing herbicide for post-emergence stem and leaf treatment. Because of its remarkable herbicidal properties, it can be used to control annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds. At the same time, it is effective for gramineous crops. It has high selectivity and can be safely used in various growth periods of crops. It is widely used in wheat fields, corn, sorghum, sugarcane, flax, onions and other crop fields to prevent and control Polygonum, quinoa, amaranthus, silian grass, and nightshade , Cocklebur, Tian Binhua and other broad-leaved weeds.
Product performance
The product is a light yellow low volatile waxy crystalline solid. Melting point is 45-46℃, sublimation at 90℃/13.33Pa. Industrial products have a slight oily smell. Melt at 40-44°C. not soluble in water. The solubility at 25°C is (w/v): acetone>10%, methanol 10%, xylene 70%. It is stable in storage, does not react with most other pesticides, is slightly corrosive, and is easily hydrolyzed by dilute lye.
