Agricultural weed killer Bentazone 480g/L SL, Selective post-seedling herbicides
Chemical property
Pure product is white crystalline solid. At m.p.138 C, the decomposition temperature is 200 c, the vapor pressure is <1.33 * 10-5Pa (20 C), and the relative density is 1.22. The solubility at 20 C is acetone 150.7%, ethanol 0.02%, water 0.05%. It is stable to acid, alkali and light.
Purpose
This product is a contact killing and selective post herbicide. Seedling treatment played a role through leaf contact. When used in dry land, photosynthesis is inhibited by osmotic transmission from leaves to chloroplasts; when used in paddy field, photosynthesis and water metabolism of weeds are hindered by root absorption and transmission to stems and leaves, which leads to physiological dysfunction and death.
It is mainly used to control dicotyledon weeds, paddy sedge and other monocotyledon weeds, so it is a good herbicide for rice field. It can also be used for weeding of dry land crops such as wheat, soybean, cotton and peanuts, such as trifolii, water Cyperus, duck tongue grass, cattle felt, flat * grass, wild water chestnut, Cyperus alternifolii, Polygonum, amaranth, Chenopodium album, ochre grass, etc. High temperature and sunny days have good effect, whereas vice versa. The dosage is 9.8 ~ 30g effective ingredient /100m2.
If the weeds and Cyperus in paddy field were weeded in 3-4 weeks after seedling, and the weeds and Cyperus were combined to 3-5 leaf stage, the weeds and broad-leaved weeds could be controlled by applying 48% liquid agent 20-30 mL/100 m2 or 25% water agent 45-60 mL/100 m2 to water 4.5 kg, and the field water was drained when applying the herbicide, and the herbicides were evenly applied to the stems and leaves of weeds in high temperature and sunny days, and then irrigated for 1-2 days. The effect of barnyard grass is not good.

Application |
A contact herbicide Selective contact herbicide, absorbed mainly by the foliage, with very little translocation, but also absorbed by the roots, with translocation acropetally in the xylem. It is used to control Anthemis, Chamomilla and Matricaria app., Chrysanthemum segetum, Galium aparune, Lapsana communis and Stellaria media in winter and spring cereals at 1.0-2.0 Kg a.i./ha. Other crops include peanuts, maize, peas, phaseolus beans, rice and soya beans etc.

Introduction |
Bentazon is a postemergence herbicide used for selective control of broadleaf weeds and sedges in beans, rice, corn, peanuts, and mint. Bentazon is a contact herbicide, which means that it causes injury only to the parts of the plant to which it is applied . It interferes with the ability of susceptible plants to use sunlight in the production of energy for survival, a process called photosynthesis. Visible injury to the treated leaf surface usually occurs within 4 to 8 hours, followed by plant death . It should not be used on blackeyed peas or garbanzo beans. It is available as a soluble concentrate. |
