Summary
It is mainly used in rice seedling, direct seeding and transplanting fields to control most of the malignant grasses such as barnyard grass, Echinochloa grandiflora and Niu Jincao. It can also effectively control the weeds resistant to quinolinic acid, sulfonylurea and amide herbicides. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity and low residue.
Physicochemical properties
White solid crystal, melting point 50, vapor pressure 1.2x10-3mPa (20), hydrophilic equilibrium constant KowlogP = 3.31, water solubility 0.7 PP m (pH 7,20). Stability: stable at pH4, slowly decomposed at pH7 and rapidly decomposed at pH 1.2 or pH9.
Mechanism of action
Cyanofluoroxalic acid (ACID), cyanofluoroxamide (AMIDE), cyanofluoroxadic acid (DIACID) and cyanofluoroxanol (DP) were rapidly degraded into a series of metabolites through rapid transduction in the plant. ACID was a herbicidal compound. Acetyl CoA carboxylase, an enzyme essential for fatty acid biosynthesis in weeds, is effectively inhibited by ACID accumulation in their intermediate meristem.

Application
|
Cyhalofop-butyl is a selective systemic post-emergent herbicide with foliar uptake only and no soil activity. It is the safest herbicide for the control of grass weeds in rice field and it will not be phytotoxic to rice in all cultivation forms from seedling to jointing stage. Cyhalofop-butyl is highly effective in controlling cockspur grass, sprangletop and it can also control crab grass, green bristlegrass, goosegrass, etc.
