Veterinary antibiotics


Flufenicol is a commonly used veterinary antibiotic with broad antibacterial spectrum, strong antibacterial effect, low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). Its antibacterial effect is 15-20 times that of chloramphenicol and thiamphenicol. 60 minutes after feeding, the drug concentration in the tissues can reach the peak value, and it can quickly control the disease with high safety, non-toxicity and no residue. No potential aplastic anemia, suitable for large-scale farm use, mainly for the treatment of Pasteurella and Haemophilus caused by cattle respiratory diseases.




pharmacological action


Flufenicol inhibits the peptide chain extension by binding tightly to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, and selectively acts on the receptor of the 70S ribosome that constitutes the bacterial cell, altering and interfering with the function of the peptide acyltransferase, thereby interfering with the synthesis of bacterial protein.

Flufenicol can strongly interfere with bacterial protein synthesis, rapid absorption, wide distribution in vivo, long half-life, no side effects of aplastic anemia, no resistance, no residue, no cross-resistance.

Florfenicol can be used in the treatment of systemic infections in livestock, poultry and aquatic animals, and has a significant effect on respiratory and intestinal infections.


Avian: Escherichia coli disease, Salmonella disease, infectious rhinitis, chronic respiratory disease, duck plague and other sensitive bacteria caused by mixed infection.
